There are around 100 cases of stuffed birds, mainly the collection of G. A. Booth purchased in 1923, together with a small number of mammals from a number of different sources. The largest object is Bill the Bear,a stuffed Asiatic black bear, the skin having been donated in 1910.
Specimens of local birds and mammals are on display in the Wild About Burnley Room.
There are index cards but no photographs have been taken and nothing added to the accession registers.
