Stanley Warburton, originally from Heywood, is represented in the watercolour collection with Jack Bridge Near Heptonstall waco249.
He was Chairman of the Northern branch of the Turner Society from 1977 and he helped to organise 'Turner and Dr Whitaker' at Towneley Hall, Burnley in 1982. He also curated a watercolour exhibition "A painter's choice - Wonderful Watercolours" at Towneley in 2004. His wife donated Stanley's paintings to the Fylde Art collection prior to her death in 2014. There are other paintings by him in Rochdale Art Gallery and at Bury Art Gallery and Museum.
