Pilkington's Lancastrian Pottery & Tiles was a manufacturer of tiles, vases and bowls, based in Clifton, Greater Manchester, see wikipedia.
They were best known for high lustre glaze finishes were produced from 1906. In 1913, they were given a royal warrant and the firm became Pilkington's Royal Lancastrian Pottery Company .
The museum's Ceramics collection includes over 200 items of Pilkington pottery and the museum is a supporter of Pilkington's Lancastrian Pottery Society .
